Face masks are only required in hospitals/medical centers. They are not mandatory in public transportation. No certificates on vaccination or recovering or negative tests are required, nowhere. No quarantine is required if positive test when in Belgium.
There are no rules applying specifically to the University and in the conference room. But since we will be a meeting of people from many countries and including more vulnerable people, the SOC and the LOC would like to convey the following messages:
All participants are welcome to wear a mask or other face covering at any time.
Meeting spaces, included for coffee breaks, are sufficiently large and ventilated to allow participants to social distance if they wish.
We fully trust everyone in our community to be respectful of others. That means keeping extra distance from those who might want it or wearing a mask for face-to-face discussions if one of the participants of the discussion wishes to wear masks. This means that every participant brings a mask to the conference and is ready to wear it during face-to-face discussions, again if required by one participant.
